This project comprises 4 explorations of Negro Leagues statistics (which are compiled from the Seamheads Negro Leagues Database). In "The Negro Leagues vs MLB Teams", I calculated comprehensive batting statistics from interleague play between Negro League teams and Major League teams. The section "Modeling the Winning Percentage of Negro League Teams" features 2 models based on the pythagorean formula that output a Negro League team's expected winning percentage.

The Cy Young/Bullet Rogan rankings are the most noteworthy part of this project. In this section, I created a model and subsequent process that gave me "Cy Young" style rankings for every Negro League season that is recognized as a Major League. Due to Bullet Rogan's dominance on the mound, I began to transition from naming the rankings after Cy Young, a white major league pitcher, to naming them after Bullet Rogan. Rogan was a 2-way player and frequent 1st place finisher in my rankings from the 1920s. Write-ups from every season in the 1920s are complete as of now. The last section of the project, "Run-Scoring Across Decades" demonstrates research on how many runs per game Negro League teams were scoring in the 1920s, 1930s and 1940s.
